The Northshore mall opened in Peabody in 1958 is one of our region's largest malls. It attracts people from all over the region and is booming since it is Peabody's largest taxpayer. It was originally planned to be put in Beverly, and was also the first mall to have a chapel built in it (the
St. Therese Society of Mt. Carmel Chapel).

I heard that it used to be an outside mall. The mall down the street, which is Liberty Tree Mall used to be the "the Mall", but now it's the North Shore Mall.
