Bush v. Gore (2000)
Bush v. Gore
In the 2000 election, George Bush was ruled president after a Supreme Court decision on December 12, 2000 following problems with counting in Palm Beach County, Florida. Residents of Palm Beach found it very difficult to read the ballot and select the appropriate future president. After a recount began to take place, legislators decided to have a vote since having people re-vote would take too long and exceed the November, 26th deadline. Florida Secretary of State, Katherine Harris selected Bush to win Florida's 25 Electoral Votes, pushing him ahead and leading him to becoming the Republican President after reaching 271 electoral votes to Democrat Gore's 266. No one will ever know if Gore won the election, and America could be very different to this day if there had been a different President.

I watched the election's result in 2000, it was very hard for some people to accept it. I was very shocked and speechless.
