The Ipswich Mills Historic District
This is a picture of part of the Ipswich Mills Historic District. The buildings are now used for the company EBSCO Publishing. The District encompasses a major textile mill, the Ipswich Mill Company, and the associated worker's housing buildings along the Ipswich River. This site had been used for woolen and stocking mills since the 17th century. More recently, it housed the Sylvania florescent lighting plant, which actually is where Sylvania designed and assembled the proximity fuse for WWII bombs, in 1942. I found this, and more information about this area from THIS website.
