This is a photo of Alcatraz when I was in San Francisco a few years back. Alcatraz was a prison built in 1868 and notorious for holding the worst criminals of all time such as Machine Gun Kelley and Al Capone. It was also known to be near impossible to escape because it was it's own island and the nearest shore was about 1.5 miles away. However the water was freezing, and that's a long swim! Now its a touring sight and is actually believed to be haunted.
