Immigration journal of my ancestor

My ancestor Captain Alden Besse, who sailed from England, a.k.a United Kingdom on a wooden ship. In Cape Cod while driving the ship, he was drunk and crashed into the rocks ahead of himself in Wareham, Massachusetts. After he crashed into the rocks, he took parts of the wooden ship off and built a house for himself and his family. While living in Wareham, Massachusetts, Cape Cod, he married Betsey Besse and had two sons Frank A. Besse (my great-great grandfather) and Isaac Henry (died at the age of two). Today I'm still researching up and looking for new information of Alden Besse.

  1. This is so so interesting. That is so clever and amazing of him to have built his family a house out of parts of a wooden ship. He must have been a really great man, turning an accident into something helpful.

  2. I really enjoyed this post he seemed like a very creative person to build something out of a wrecked ship.
